Lakshmi is the goddess of love and ideal beauty, who bestows wealth, prosperity, and good love upon her devotees. Lakshmi has a golden form, akin to gold, and is often depicted seated on a lotus flower with lotus flowers held in her hands. She is revered as the most beautiful of all goddesses. The lotus, a symbol of Lakshmi, is often held in two of her hands. The other two hands are positioned in a gesture of blessing, with one hand open downward, with golden coins pouring from it, symbolizing the goddess of fortune and wealth. It is believed that those who worship Lakshmi will be blessed with love, success in their endeavors, abundant wealth, and prosperity, as well as the bestowment of riches upon those who consistently practice virtue.
