Phra Ajahn Prasoot, Piya Thammo, disciple of Luang Pu Sang Thammaso Ariyasong

Phra Phut Kosi Cave Temple, Trang Province

According to the ancient scriptures of the Tiger Sleeps and Eats Wealth, originating from the Khao Ao hermitage, Luang Pu Sang Thammaso inherited this teaching from Phra Ajahn Thongthao of the Khao Ao Meditation School. During his tenure at Wat Tham Phra Phut Kosiy, Luang Pu Sang passed on this teaching to Phra Ajahn Prasoot Piya Thammo, encompassing various disciplines. Most notably, this teaching emphasizes auspicious talismans related to compassion, charm, fortune, prosperity, wealth, trade, and protective blessings, ensuring safe passage and success.

However, one particular discipline emphasized by Luang Pu Sang is the Tiger Sleeps and Eats Wealth, fundamental to the Khao Ao Meditation School's teachings. Sleeping Great Tiger is considered the pinnacle talisman of Phra Ajahn Prasoot, enhancing charm, power, and multiplying merit exponentially in terms of compassion and charm. It is revered by those seeking blessings and is believed to bring prosperity effortlessly, attracting offerings and ensuring safety. Even when carried during ventures for sustenance, its presence enhances status manifold, ensuring protection and enhancing wealth. Its acquisition stems from the teachings of the Tiger Elder (Sleeping Great Tiger), originating from Luang Pho Sang, who foresaw the challenging terrain of the hermitage in the hills of the temple.

Developing the temple within a short period would have been difficult, prompting Phra Ajahn Prasoot to seek out and impart these teachings to Phra Ajahn Prasoot, instructing him, "This temple has great potential. I will entrust you with the teachings of the Tiger Elder (Tiger Sleeps and Eats Wealth) to develop Wararam Temple into a flourishing sanctuary." These teachings represent the ultimate in compassion, merit, and blessings, transforming fears into desires to encounter and witness its power.

Luang Pu Sang states that the teachings of the Tiger Elder (Sleeping Great Tiger), representing the tiger, are accompanied by numerous attendants who oversee protection, guarding, and providing sustenance, ensuring nothing is lacking. Therefore, the Sleeping Great Tiger teaching, according to Luang Pu Sang, facilitates the influx of fortune, gold, entering our lives in simple or unexpected ways. It assists in endeavors to sustain oneself smoothly without obstacles, highlighting its remarkable influence in both wealth and power, ensuring ease of passage and safeguarding the interests of the Khao Ao Meditation School.
