Goddess Lakshmi is the goddess of love, ideal beauty, who bestows wealth, prosperity and good love upon her devotees.
Goddess Lakshmi has a golden body like gold, sits on a lotus and holds a lotus in her hand. She is praised as the most beautiful goddess.
The lotus flower is her symbol and she is usually held in two hands, one holding a lotus in the back, the front hand giving a blessing, and the other hand is turned towards the ground with gold coins falling from the center of the hand, symbolizing the goddess of fortune and wealth.
It is believed that whoever worships Goddess Lakshmi will receive love, blessings of success in their careers, wealth and fortune, and will grant wealth to those who consistently do good deeds.
